The Koan

Little history: 

• koan represents the universe trying to understand itself. A force, a hivemind, a virus, a field which distorts reality around it, thus understanding it and transforming it into more of itself as it rolls through dimensions. 

• So, the Koan is the collective of all the things picked up by some force or entity, which is also Koan? Is the collective and the vehicle the same? Not really but also kinda.

• The stuff it picks up is usually quite benign, but the actual thing doing the grabbing is kinda spooky.
• Very Annihilation ‘the shimmer’ and Control ‘the hiss’ vibes
• That’s kind of what the ‘Ascension’ is - just slurping onto the next universe, grabbing stuff with it.
• The creatures and entities that have been grabbed by the Koan are both transformed due to the nature of the entity and also they're pulled through a variety of dimensions which twist them even further?
  • And the sentients grabbed by it experience some sort of existential annihilation and awakening? Seeing existence in a deeper fundamental way? 

The Koan represent the existential truths. Uncaring and hostile if one is not ready. They come from beyond and they do not bend to the suffering of the mortals.
